The Shadow and the Knight
I hadn’t had much experience in drawing knights or nighttime compositions, so being able to experiment here was a lot of fun!
Rough Draft
Finding the right composition took some time, but once I created this one. I knew it was the right mix of dynamic and intense.
Tight Sketch
I wanted to make sure the key focus was the knight being choked, with the witch as the secondary focus.
Final Piece
In the end, I’m proud of how it turned out. Having the shadow looming in the background, revealing the secrets to this mystery, makes for a fun piece to sit and stare at for a bit.
